The Town of Sasser was incorporated in 1890. Sasser was established by G. W. Varner and named after William Sasser.

Sasser is located within Terrell County, Georgia, United States and is part of the Albany, Georgia Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Visitors will find several beautiful historic buildings in walking distance to City Hall. Each historic building has lots of character and decades of fascinating stories.

Sasser hosts a scenic park and large gazebo which may be rented for get togethers, weddings, photos and other events.

Downtown Sasser's is home to a variety of businesses: antique shops, gift shops, home decor shops, custom wood crafts, home builders, wood restoration, creative and custom t-shirts shop, restaurants, outdoors shop, local produce, entertainment venue, shed manufaturing, trucking companies, agricultural companies, equipment repair, convenience stores and more.
